What is footage stock? In our case it is HD Video footage that we shoot focusing on common landmarks, concepts, and events that can be used and reused for post design purposes such as image films, motion pictures, and/or web. Advertising agencies, filmmakers, web designers, and other entities utilize stock imagery to fulfill the needs of their creative assignments.

What are 'royalty-free' clips? "Royalty Free" indicates that aside from the purchase price, no further fees or compensation are due regardless of how many times the Content is used or how many projects it is used for, provided that it may be used by only a single user in accordance with the terms and conditions.

How does Element Tank Work? You’ll find completely royalty free, slice-of-life footage here at Element Tank. View your clips, choose a price point, and throw it into your shopping cart. And when you’re ready, just follow the checkout prompts. You’ll be able to download your clips immediately upon payment.

What is an Element Tank Collection? Our Collections contain 10 art-directed that are packaged within specific genres which can be purchased in High or Standard Definition.

Where can I use Element Tank clips? You may use and reuse our clips for post design purposes such as image films, motion pictures, and/or web. Please review the License Agreement for more information.

How can I get my clips? Upon checkout, you will be given a link for downloading your clips. Or you may choose to log in to your account and download your clips there. You have up to 24 hours to download your clips and have the ability to download it up to 4 times.

Do you have any 'rights-managed' clips? No. We offer art directed Royalty Free clips and collections, but check with us in the future as we continue to grow.

How long may I use the clip that I’ve purchased? Forever! You can utilize your purchased clips as long as needed. Just remember… the clips you purchase are not for resale. For more information on this please review our License Agreement.

Do you buy clips from other vendors? In the future we would like to buy clips from you, just give us some time! If you’d like to discuss further, please email support@elementtank.com.

Do you offer shipping? We are keeping it green. We do not offer shipping, just downloads. We highly recommend that you backup your purchased clips. Once it’s passed the 24 hour period, you will need to repurchase your clip.

Do I need to be able to accept cookies? Yes, Element Tank uses cookies to hold your username and password only. So don’t worry, we will not collect or store personal information using the cookie. You can prevent acceptance of cookies through your internet browser, although this will impair your use of our site.

What browsers are compatible with Element Tank? We’ve designed the site to be compatible with almost all of the latest browsers including: Safari, Opera, Firefox, and Internet Explorer on both Macs and PCs.

Will my purchased clips be watermarked? No, our comp clips are watermarked, but once purchased it’s removed.

What sizes do your clips come in? Clips are available in their original format, as well as two qualities of Quicktimes, HD & SD. Most clips are (720p (23.976), but we have some in 1080i (29.97).

Can I use clips that I download for a client? Yes. You can use Element Tank clips for a client project. Please communicate to your clients that they do not own and do not have the rights to sell the clips.

If I modify a clip, can I claim copyright to that clip? No, Element Tank will continue to own all clips, whether or not they have been modified.

Can I sell clips that I’ve downloaded? No, our clips are solely for the use in video/film and multimedia projects, not for resale or distribution. Please review the License Agreement for more information.

Can I sell templates that include Element Tank footage? No. Please review our License Agreement for details.

What if I forgot my username or password? No worries, just visit the Sign In page and click, Forgot your Password. The prompts will lead you to enter your email address. Your password is then promptly emailed to you.

How do I remove my email address from your mailing lists? You sure can, you’ll need to sign into your account and click, Subscribe or Unsubscribe.

How do you protect my credit card information? Element Tank does not store any credit card information. Once transactions are complete, your credit card data is safely deleted.

How do you enforce your Privacy Policy? We hold your personal information for only as long as necessary. We employ Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL encrypts your credit card information and protects the security of the information during transmission so that it cannot be read as it is sent through the Internet and is only used by us to fulfill your order. Additionally, we reveal only the last 4 digits of your credit card number when confirming an order.

Do you take Credit Cards over the phone? No. All purchases must be made through our website. Our credit card processing uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) which is a secure web protocol keeping your personal identifiable information completely safe throughout your purchase process.

What is your refund policy? All sales are final and we do not provide refunds. You have 24 hours to download your clip either from your Order Success page or from your account.

Why can’t I view thumbnail movies off your site? The thumbnails are Flash movies so you’ll need Flash 8 or higher. If you don’t have Flash 8 or higher, you should receive an automatic prompt to download it or follow directions on the screen.

Why do my Standard Def (SD) clips appear fuzzy when played in Quicktime, but look fine in my editing software? We've noticed that occasionally the “High Quality" option in Quicktime gets unselected. To enable the high quality option, open the clip in Quicktime, and select ‘Show Movie Properties’ in the Window Menu. Within the Movie Properties click Video Track. Then click High Quality in the Visual Settings tab.
